Honolulu is the capital of the American state of Hawaii, built on the south coast of Oahu. Many people start their visit to Hawaii here. The tourist center of the city is the Waikiki area with many restaurants, nightclubs, shops and the legendary crescent-shaped beach of the same name. The coastline is home to many prestigious hotels surrounded by palm trees, and the volcanic crater Diamond Head rises on the horizon. There is a memorial in Pearl Harbor, which is located at the site of the sinking of the battleship "Arizona" during the Second World War. The population of the city is 400,000 people.
