Old Fort Niagara Webcam

This webcam is installed near the Old Fort Niagara Visitor Center and faces west. Before you is a view of the famous Old Fort Niagara historic site.
With over 300 years of history, this outpost has flown the flags of France, Great Britain, and the United States, playing a key role in controlling North America's inland waterways.
On the right side of the frame, you can see the fort itself — the oldest surviving military buildings in the Great Lakes region, including the famous 1726 "French Castle". The panorama clearly shows how the territory is protected by powerful defensive lines, earthworks, and bastions. In the center of the frame, the scenic and strategically important confluence of Lake Ontario and the Niagara River opens up.
