This webcam is installed on the building of The Putnam Room restaurant and faces north.
In front of you stands the historic Putnam County Courthouse. Built in the early 1900s, it is one of Cookeville’s main architectural landmarks and an important center of public life. Designed in a classical style with a distinctive clock tower, it remains an active administrative building of the county to this day.
Slightly to the right is a memorial with an Eternal Flame dedicated to Putnam County residents who lost their lives in military conflicts — from World War I and World War II to later operations.
On the right side of the frame, you can see traffic along South Washington Avenue, while on the left vehicles move along South Jefferson Avenue, creating the lively atmosphere of the city center.
