This webcam is installed on the grounds of Ocean Village Resort Tofino and faces west.
Before you is a picturesque view of the Templar Channel, a narrow coastal strait off the shores of the Pacific Ocean, famous for its scenic landscapes on the west coast of Vancouver Island. In the lower part of the frame lies the wide sandy Tinwis (MacKenzie) Beach, a popular spot for walking, storm watching, and relaxing amidst the wilderness of British Columbia. Slightly above, small coastal rocks emerge from the water during low tide, shaping the unique shoreline. In the upper part of the frame sits Wickaninnish Island, which forms part of the region's complex coastline and protects the inner waters from ocean swells.
