This webcam is installed in Monte Ciocci Park and faces southeast.
The view shows one of the most iconic panoramic scenes of Rome. In the center rises the dome of St. Peter’s Basilica — the main architectural symbol of Vatican City and one of the largest domes in the world.
Just below are the Vatican Gardens (Giardini Vaticani), a private green area with historic landscaping, fountains, and pathways covering much of the city-state.
In the lower part of the frame, you can see the southern area of the Trionfale district (Quartiere XIV Trionfale), reflecting everyday Roman life.
