Southampton Water Webcam

This webcam is installed on the building of Netley Cliff Sailing Club and streams live footage of Southampton Water — a natural maritime inlet and estuary connecting the mouth of the River Test with the Solent Strait and further to the English Channel. It plays a key role in servicing the Port of Southampton — one of the largest cargo and oil terminals in the UK.
In the frame, you will see a wide variety of vessels: from small tugboats and service craft to massive oil tankers and cargo ships. Windsurfers are often spotted here, catching the wind in the open part of the inlet.
On the opposite shore, you can see important industrial sites such as the Esso Oil Terminal and the Hythe Shipyard.
