Coronado is a resort town in the United States, located in San Diego County in southern California. The city lies on an island connected to the mainland by tombolo and is in close proximity to downtown San Diego and is separated from it by the San Diego Bay. Coronado received city status in 1890. The population of the city is 25,000 people.
