About Webcam

Brownville Food For Deer pantry feeds approximately 400 pounds a day of local oats to help support the white-tailed deer population during the harsh winters here in central Maine. Feeding takes place daily at around 09:00 (9:00 am) ET, starting December 16 and continuing through early April. These are wild deer, and this is not a reindeer farm. Some deer have been flying here for over 10 years, including the skewbald deer with more white spots than the normal white-tailed deer. Sometimes there are from 100 to 200 deer in the pantry. Wild turkeys also come and eat local oats along with the deer. Sometimes you can see up to 100 wild turkeys at once. In Maine, there is no chronic wasting disease or CW in wild deer. Please do not complain about this in the chat. All these deer are very healthy, and there have never been any diseases among them. This "corral" of deer occurs in Maine every winter, even when not fed. You can help the project by following the link: https://www.gofundme.com/f/brownvilles-food-pantry-for-deer
