Lake Placid is a village in the state of New York, USA. Capital of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics. From time to time, a stage of the Biathlon World Cup takes place here. Since 1999, it has been one of the official venues for the Ironman Triathlon, which includes swimming, cycling and running.
