Ouchi-juku Webcam

This pan-tilt webcam is installed in the very center of the small historic post town of Ouchi-juku in Fukushima Prefecture, showcasing this invaluable area of ancient Edo-period architecture and culture.
The town is famous for its traditional thatched-roof buildings, which have been carefully preserved in their original form for centuries. At first, the camera faces south, showing the main street of Yamamoto Ouchi. It is lined with authentic houses that now host souvenir shops and traditional noodle restaurants like Matsubaya (松葉屋), Yamatoya (大和屋), Tamaya (本家玉屋), and others. The camera then pans left to a large, standalone building—the Ouchi-juku Town Museum (大内宿町並み展示館). Next, it displays the vast lands surrounding the town and the beautiful hills in the background. At the end of its movement, the camera offers a southwestern angle, showing the continuation of the street.
