Marienplatz Square Webcam

This webcam is installed on the LUDWIG BECK department store building and faces west.
Before you, a magnificent view opens up to Marienplatz — Munich's central square, which for centuries has been the heart of the city and the main venue for all urban events. In the right part of the frame, the impressive building of the New Town Hall in a monumental Neo-Gothic style is clearly visible. Its tower features the famous Rathaus-Glockenspiel, a historic carillon that brings copper figures to life. Right in front of it, at the bottom of the square, are the famous Fischbrunnen (Fish Fountain) and the busy entrance to the subway station. Slightly to the left, you can see the historic monument of the Marian Column (Mariensäule), erected in honor of the patron saint of Bavaria.
