Trooper J.D. Young Memorial Bridge Webcam

This webcam is installed on the Bradenton side and is facing northwest. In front of you is the Trooper J.D. Young Memorial Bridge, crossing the scenic Manatee River.
This critical segment of the I-75 highway is named in honor of Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Jeffrey Dale Young. In 1987, he tragically lost his life in the line of duty near this location. In memory of his heroism and dedication to service, the bridge was given its official memorial name.
The crossing complex consists of 4 bridges. Two central bridges historically served the main I-75 highway, while two new bridge structures on the sides were built as part of a recent massive interchange reconstruction to ease exit ramp congestion. This route is a key transportation artery for the region, connecting the cities of Bradenton and Ellenton with their dynamically developing suburbs.
