Downtown from the Windsor riverfront Webcam

Camera Overview

This webcam is installed on a residential building on Riverside Drive East in Windsor, near Eastwood's Grill and Lounge, and faces northwest. It offers an impressive panoramic view of the American city of Detroit from the opposite bank of the river.
In the central part of the frame, the Detroit River is clearly visible—a natural water border between the United States and Canada. Pleasure boats, cargo ships, and private yachts regularly pass along the river, and in the evening, the panorama is beautifully illuminated by the lights of both countries.
Slightly higher in the frame is Huntington Place, formerly known as the Cobo Center. This is Detroit's largest convention and exhibition center, hosting international auto shows, business forums, concerts, and major city events. To the left, you can spot the modern high-rise buildings of the Water Square district, as well as the famous Riverfront Towers residential complex, which consists of three cascading skyscrapers on the riverbank. These towers have long been a recognizable part of the city's skyline.
In the right part of the frame, you have a classic view of downtown Detroit: numerous skyscrapers of the city's business center rise here, and near the waterfront is Hart Plaza park—a popular public space for festivals, concerts, and city holidays.
