Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge as seen from Mid Island Webcam

Mid Island is a suburban area with Greenbelt Park, whose trails stretch for miles through trees and swamps. Tours are offered at historic Richmond Town, a complex of villages with restored 19th-century houses and shops. There is also a museum dedicated to the history of the area. At the foot of the hill is the Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art, stylized as a monastery. It features Buddha sculptures and other exhibits.
